Battery OPTIMA or AC DELCO
When I was running two amps 2 12s eight speakers inside head unit capacitor and a built motor I use the yellow top with good success
Your alternator probably just shit the bed. Was on its last of its life then the added \"stress\" of a stereo system made it kill itself.
Anyway I know people talk a lot of crap about them but I use Optima batteries in anything that can fit them. Mainly because I have a bunch of cars and many of them sit around. Its nice to know that if the battery dies I can condition and recharge it and get back to normal and not worry.
I am entertaining an Optima Yellow Top this time. It's $339, for reference, and I have a feeling it will outlast/outperform the OEM.
I did and what a misnomer 'dry cell' is. Yes they are great and expensive. Both standard and 'drycell' have liquid eletrolyte so it's weird to start talking about 'drycell'
My old car had an Optima Red Top in it for 10 years and never had a battery issue- but again, sitting on a tender most of the time.
The red top really isn't that special and optima's tech in general is more beneficial in regard to durability than current delivery.
I also have an 18 and replaced factory with an Optima Yellowtop. Did not last long at all which sucks, was excited to try a battery I've heard so much good about. Went back to OEM since I didn't want any headache and it lasted me quite a bit the first time. Seems like Optima has declined in quality over time.
Replaced my OEM battery with a yellow top and it lasted less than a year. Complete junk imo.
When I worked at the auto parts store, we warrantied a lot of Optima’s. I’d be careful before dropping money for one.
