Engine oil Mobil or MOTUL
The 508 spec gets you better mpg and less dirty emissions. Gotta look at the bottle carefully. Mobil ESPX2 0w20 has that spec.
262k miles here on an M54B30 with 10k changes, Mobil 1, it's running great.
It should be fine. I use Mobil 1 and it's worked great.
Prolube is trash used motul and my top speed increased by almost 10 on all gears on my d250
I've been running 8100 Power 5w30 for the last two changes, every 3000 miles, and the aced the initial Blackstone test.
I've been using the x-clean EFE every 3k miles forever now an am tuned on full e85 now for 30k miles besides the factory valve tube seal leaking they fixed at 14k miles once but that's due to 23' errors. Now am thinking did I use the wrong one hahaha but am 30k miles deep in my use never anything oil that the efe in mine.
I use Mobil one in Canada when it goes on sale synthetic 0W20 10 k intervals 13 yr old corolla 1.8 and 15 yr old tundra 5.7 350 k and 320 km ; no oil consumption work great
Using Motul (8100 5w-40 initially then 0W-40) since 8 years in my Honda City '09 and I replace engine oil myself every year. Engine is smooth and gives decent mileage. Never faced any issues
I used so many brands
- Motul : okay
Could be the oil and not any problem with the engine itself. In India, these engines come with Motul 7100 full synthetic oil. There have been some discussions on the 390Duke forums and on Reddit that the oil burning issue and high oil consumption is caused by using Motul 7100
