Oil filter OEM Honda or AC DELCO

OEM filter every time. 9th gen. Why cheap out?I’m already saving 50 bucks changing the oil myself might as well invest it back in the car.

I only use the OEM filters. They do the job perfectly, I have no reason to try my luck with a different one.

8th gen Si sedan. Honda filter only! They cost about the same as whatever shit filter you're going to buy at autozone anyway.

Absolutely not. Example, I was an equipment manager at a Petroleum tank company. On our generator I tried to use several different manufacturers and the all blew the seals out because of filter material and pressure valves they used. I ended up buying OEM filters and never had a problem after that.

i do run the factory filters on the s2000 as they're cheap and very good quality.

I only use Honda oil filters. I would say the filter is far more important than what brand oil you use.

AC Delco oil filters are now all made in China (but they won't confirm nor deny this), so they have a single package for all markets they serve.

For oil filters I feel like the ACDelco filters are pretty low quality and there are many better options. Mobil and K&N oil filters are available at Walmart for $10-15, made in USA, and seem to be much better quality.

Changing the oil filter on 8th gen Si's is a pain in the ass. You need to stick your entire arm around the exhaust header, axle, and steering rack to get to the filter, and then once you barely get a grip and spin it off, it spews oil all over your axle boot and into the subframe.
