Spark plug Bosch or AC DELCO
Sometimes you just have to try a few sets. I have a '97 Jetta which had NGK plugs in it for close to 4 years. I went through two sets of NGK plugs and couldn't get the car to run. I switched to Bosch and it started right up and ran fine.
Since Iridium is tough, and there is platinum at the tip of the movable electrode, I bought Bosch Iridium.
While I had the coils out, I replaced the plugs (used ACDelco double platinum professional grade, proper gap. No NGKs were available). After I replaced the coils, the misfire code(s) went away for a few days.
Bosch W7DTC plugs were the best, caint get them no mores, use NGK BP6ET plugs instead.
Bosch F3cs @27psi no issues and no gapping
I pulled the plugs this morning and replaced them with Bosch cooper plugs, the only match that was available in local Autozone. There are no more misfires (for now), which makes plugs the culprit.
I'm using the OEM Bosch spark plug. I gapped mine to 0.024" as per Bentley and the car seems to run fine.
Put the correct spark plugs in there (NGK BKUR6ET-10 for AEG), throw those Bosch +4 turds in the bin where they belong.
Bought Bosch platinum's and red bremi wires. swap everything all out, the misfires alot worse.
Personally I've never had any luck with ngk's in any of my vr's always just run Bosch plugs and wires....
