For any of you that have upgraded to TT RS front brakes and track your car, you might have learned that the OEM rotors just aren't up to track duty if you push your car. I was warping the stock rotors from heat during track days. So I went in search of a two-piece rotor and initially found two options, both of which came in at well over $1,200. My timing was good however, as I stumbled upon a thread in the TT RS forum about an owner that had just fitted his car with a prototype from Giro Disc. I'd never heard of Giro Disc before, but some research gave me comfort they were producing a quality product. I reached out to Mike at Giro Disc (who couldn't be more helpful) and they had a few more sets available, so I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of them. And just in time, as my next track day is in two days. I just installed them, and as you would expect, they are a direct fit. I'll post performance impressions after my track day, but in advance of that, here are my initial thoughts: - OEM rotors weighed in at 26.6 lbs and the Giro Disc are 19.8 - There is significantly more spacing, which will hopefully move more air and allow for better cooling.

the rotors im running are the 372mm stock TTRS rotors haven't had any problems with squeal or squeaks at all yet. day to day driving they are good. if you press a little harder then normal and they work awesome.
I'm using Castrol Syntec Euro formula which is a 0-30 oil. I've been doing oil analysis with every oil change since I got the car. This change was a short interval with just 1400 miles on the oil between changes. Right in the middle was a track day where I did about 130 miles on track, six 20 minute sessions. I think I was seeing peak oil temps in the 240s with very quick recovery back down below 220 during cooldown.
It's shocking how such a little thing can make such a big difference. No more buffeting with the windows down all the way and at speed. I tested this up to 100. Simple install too.
Anyway, the XP12's and 8's are freakin' awesome. Super bite, modulation and power but they're loud as hell on the street. Personally, I don't mind so I drive everywhere screaming like a banshee.
I have just stated using ENDLESS Rf650 and can report that it 'feels' so re-assuring when braking VERY late on track...for example braking after the pit lane straight at Brands Hatch...I was giggling each time I braked later with total confidence...!
