I got the light this morning on the wife's JSW. So I checked out the situation. Sure enough seriously low coolant, like well below minimum fill line. Only 7000 miles. Took it to the dealership to have it topped off.
You can regualr coolant as long as COMPLETELY flush out the system. I ran Prestone in my Jetta with regular flushes for 3 years with no problems...an no pitting of my cyl. head
i run prestone in my 1.8T and have ran it for 6 months now ever since i put a new radiator in bc my old one cracked so my g12 was completely flushed out. no problems for me.
Yes i have used it in my 98jetta wheni replaced my heater core. i have had no probs yet benn 6 months they wouldent sell it if it did not work
