I usually grab anything powerstop, centric, brembo, akebono from rockauto. Especially on rotors their prices are hard to beat

I just got my brakes and rotors on my ‘22 RX 350 changed not with OEM rotors/brakes, but Akebonos. On top of that, I got a full brake fluid flush. I feel the same “bite”. I don’t recall my OEM brakes/rotors having such bite, but I do feel quite safer because I can go from top speed to a full stop much sooner.
Best quality off the shelf you can buy, I think, are Akebono rotors.
I got my Akebono kit from CZP back in 2010 ish, and bought the kit with slotted rotors because it was available. Drilled was an option, but I've heard myths about the holes cracking under heat loads over time, so I avoided them.
I bought the rotors from Napa to save some money as well. Keep in mind your existing brake shield will not fit after the upgrade. You can run your car without them fine but if you want them, you'll have to buy the ones for the Sport. I got a pretty bad wheel shake after upgrading and still not sure if it's related to the upgrade. Haven't ironed it out 100% but very happy with the stopping power
I recently did just the fronts and the back OEM are still good at 36,000kms . I have Akebono rotors on the front and so far they are great.
So, I ended up going with Akebono brakes with Akebono rotors- It works great so far- just seems to have a little less grab if you brake hard. I don't know if it was the worn brakes (and rotors) or the semi-metallic material, but the brake pedal went down a little further with the old setup.
I didn't do any stop distance tests before, so I don't know if the new ceramics are any better or worse; however, it seems like it brakes less in the mid range, which I've heard is typical for ceramic brakes. At the end of the day, for normal driving, it is a much smoother and more controlled braking experience.
