I went with the E46 ZHP rack (second fastest) as my very first "quality of life" upgrade and it dramatically improved the car.

On a 428 both lower control forward arms including labor I believe $320 to $350
Brake pads brake, w e a r sensor and I believe both speed sensors under $400 no rotors were replaced.

Just be warned I bought new and we don’t drive it wild or anything but both rear tires (non staggered 21”) were at 3mm tread after 10k miles and I had to replace them. Was shocking.

The steering was the worst of all the cars I tried. Engine was fabulous but transmission not very responsive. Handling and suspension usability range were solid but the killer for this car was the really soft, weak brakes.

I have had a soft knocking sound from the front in bumps for the three years I had the car. Still there is some sound from the front which did not go away even after having shocks replaced at BMW because one had leaked.
