I went with the E46 ZHP rack (second fastest) as my very first "quality of life" upgrade and it dramatically improved the car.

On a 428 both lower control forward arms including labor I believe $320 to $350
Brake pads brake, w e a r sensor and I believe both speed sensors under $400 no rotors were replaced.
Parts cost about 500$ for front and rear brakes if do yourself.
So the headlights on my BMW are so much better than headlights I’ve had in previous cars. They illuminate the road so much better.
I have 635d with m57 at 200k miles on the original chain
My m57 197hp originaly still on original chain. Its at 265.000km now
Just be warned I bought new and we don’t drive it wild or anything but both rear tires (non staggered 21”) were at 3mm tread after 10k miles and I had to replace them. Was shocking.
The steering was the worst of all the cars I tried. Engine was fabulous but transmission not very responsive. Handling and suspension usability range were solid but the killer for this car was the really soft, weak brakes.
Water inside after first wash
I have had a soft knocking sound from the front in bumps for the three years I had the car. Still there is some sound from the front which did not go away even after having shocks replaced at BMW because one had leaked.
