I've had EBC slotted rotors on my Crosstrek for almost 100,000 miles now, and they may have been cheaper than OEM rotors.
I've also ordered a full set of the EBC USR rotors and will install them myself, same with the splash shield and door seals.
The EBC pads (Red) that I installed 6 months or so ago have never made a peep at any time. They seemed to fit snugly in the calipers. Very happy with them mated to Zimmermann drilled rotors.
Lol paid £170 for my front brakes last week and did them myself. EBC's too.
Have a look at EBC, their “red stuff” pads work really well on my car and were nowhere near that price.
I daily red stuff (stopping a Stinger). They're fine. Occasionally a bit touchy, but that's more me than the pads.
No complaints using reds for daily. If there’s any track use, stick with blues.
I like the EBC SR11 but a little noisy at lower speeds & temps.
I tried yellow stuff a few years ago, absolutely shit.
Ditch EBC. Discs are OK. But pads are just pure viral marketing via forums etc. Played havoc with the ABS on my GC8 Subaru when I had them (ABS kicking in actually massively increased stopping distances).
