i DIY or pay a subaru specialty shop for a change, we both use motul, genuine filter, crush ring, just they do oil samples for me cause i dont feel like that hassle

I personally use Motul 5w30 with oem oil filter.
Motul Oil change kit on subimods, that’s it

I like using motul with OEM filters but I doubt it's making much of a difference.
Pros: no adverse issues
If I really care about the car, I use Motul and a factory filter.
Pros: factory filter
An oil change is no witchcraft, good oil (motul) costs about 40€ to 60€ for a 4L canister, oil filter about 10€. Oil change is done every 6000 to 10000 km, depending on the motorcycle.
