I didn't do the install, but I went with the single mass clutch kit from Valeo when my slave cylinder went. I like it better than the dual, seems a little easier to press now and I haven't noticed much on vibrations

Purchased a Valeo clutch kit with a single mass flywheel to replace the problematic dual mass flywheel.
I got an oem style clutch kit made by Valeo for an 06 gti 2.0t fsi and it's been doing really well.
Well I am just @ the 400 mark and with the six speed I kinda bargained out and just picked up a Valeo single mass conversion kit....I had no clue how long it would last but knock on wood it's been in for a year. I have noticed lately it's starting to do some strange things like not release every time....makes for an interesting drive when this happens.
The valeo kits are not = to the OEM sachs kit. They are much easier to sheer the rivets holding the marcel to the hub, the springs are more prone to getting sloppy, and the pressure plate straps and rivets are a lot less beefy.
i just put my valeo clutch kit in, i got it from GAP about a month ago, itworks PERFECT, came with disc, pressure plate, TO bearing & alignment tool & some lube, i got the kit for $170 valeo & sachs are equal in quality, i would deffinitly buy another 1, it works excellent
Genuine clutch kits from Sachs, LUK, and Valeo (all VW OEM Suppliers) include: pressure plate, clutch disc, release plate, retainer ring, clutch alignment tool, throwout bearing, and lubricant.
