Been using for donkey years and never failed to amaze me. Valvoline till now never seen or encountered with fake ones.
You’ll be fine. I’ve used Valvoline for years over various cars. It’s more just making sure you know what oil to ask for.
I dont know but i do know the valvoline restore and protect oil has helped my 330k mile engine feel like new.
I have a 2007 Explorer with 161,000 miles on it. Just recently switched from Castrol to Valvoline Restore and Protect. I'm not sure why I haven't heard of it sooner, but from what I've heard, it's really good at removing sludge and varnish that forms in high mileage engines.
I change the oil using Valvoline for the very first time. I pulled a valve cover in the next oil change and was shocked again! The heads were completely void of sludge! That’s when I became a dedicated Valvoline user and have used it ever since. I run it in everything from Porsches, Corvettes, I use the VR1 in my flat tapped engines and have never had a problem in well over 50 years. Just change the oil and filter every 3k miles or so and the inside of the engine will be clean as new.
I would do several short interval (like 1k honestly) with valvoline restore and protect.
Change your oil with Valvoline restore Cummins oil I think I used 10w30. It will help... I had a a4 with 130k miles and I did this 4 times it cut my consumption down to a minimal amount
I burn a little bit of oil and started to run the Valvoline restore and protect 5w30 in my n18 r56 with 178k miles (286k km). Hard to tell what burns vs leaks out though.
They broke my damper on the glove box after being forced on a cabin filter change( that they charge $60 btw). Now I change the engine and cabin filter on my own.
