I think it’s great as power steering fluid but I wouldn’t use it in place of my Toyota type IV fluid for my transmission
Reviews of VALVOLINE power steering fluid
E39’s use ATF as their power steering fluid. Any decent ATF should work, I use Valvoline Max Life for my E39.
I put in Valvaline power steering fluid in the system this weekend, because I have a small leak and nobody carried the OEM stuff on Sunday. Could this be my issue? Do you think the viscosity is causing my power steering pump to make the noise.
