We told Safelite it had to be OEM/Volvo windshield due to the vehicle being a lease. We paid our $50 glass deductible and they replaced it with OEM as we requested. They also calibrated everything in house at their shop. Pretty smooth process!
We also seem to go through tires quicker than I would expect. Other than that, it's been dead reliable with just regular oil changes.
I'd rather change the fuel pump on my volvos then to ever think of doing it on a 94 Plymouth neon again
Only volvo glass. Any other brand will either leak or the radar will not work properly
First highway trip on my 2018 XC60, got a chip on the windshield. Replaced by the dealer with $500 deductible.
Next and least expensive, would be to buy a new alternator from Volvo and have them install it. It could be that there is a known issue with the alternator that you put on there if it's not from Volvo.
the early 2016-2018 Volvo's have piston ring issues at would chew up the engine , that's since been fixed
The rear ac condensor did go out but Volvo agreed to fix it for free even though it wasn’t under warranty since it’s a known issue
The cheap Chinese rotors Volvo is using now warp very easily and are garbage.
I have a friend who bght volvo XC-90. He had horrible experience with the battery in just couple of weeks and had to replace it as part of warranty.
