I changed mine recently to STP and the cabin gets cooler so much faster.
Owner reviews for cabin filter
My 1996 Toyota Camry wasn’t produced with one, but there’s a spot for one… Popped in one for a 1996 Lexus ES300, and the difference is certainly noticeable; quite literally is easier to breathe! Plus, I don’t have to dust my cabin as often.
I change my cabin air filter every 6 months on the 3 due to this SFL humidity. Can get 8-9 months with our Y.
This is my brand. Mann-Filter. Easy to replace.
MAHLE. Either at napa or rockauto. I think u wanted a brand name, thats a safe one, quite common, good quality
The VF2074 fits just as well as the oem, you should be able to set it in the oem door / latch. I have it on mine with no issues.
FCP Euro has a lifetime replacement on parts from them, just buy from them and get free replacements of the currently available filters.
That's a cabin air filter from a Honda, probably a civic circa 2014-17. Having worked for Honda as a technician for several years, the pine needles are actually quite common since the filter sits horizontally above the blower motor, allowing things to fall on top of the filter and accumulate like this.
I've had to replace the cabin filter 2-3 times because of this problem. At first the smell would go away after replacing the filter, but eventually returns, usually when spring rolls around.
They are the absolute worst air filters on the planet. I really like the STP filters from autozone, but to each their own (except Subaru cabin air filters, you can literally see through them, they are garbage).
