Did a ton of research and went with Chevron Supreme 5W30, it’s semi synthetic, will go 5K nonissue and it’s exactly what the local Toyota dealership gets delivered into those holding tanks.
Owner reviews for engine oil
The Toyota mechanic who has a YouTube channel (Car Care Nut) has previously said that Toyota OEM oil is Mobil 1 (with a few exceptions for collaboration cars).
Valvoline seems to be the quietest oil.
I always use liqui-moly leichtlauf 5w40.
Check the oil recommendation in the manual and then go with castrol edge or motul if you want to go the safe by the books route.
Redline is what I'm currently using for engine oil, shock fluid, and brake fluid.
Valvoline oil and an STP filter. Good price and convenient because its at Autozone.
Mobil1 15w-50 (red label) was always good to me, and readily available at wally world. Never had lifter tick in my S50US, on track or otherwise, and it went to 298k before the head gasket gave up. Absolutely could have resealed the engine and ran it another 100k+ (swapped an S54 instead).
I use M1 Extended HM with an stp premium filter. Go about 10-13k between changes.
I use Valvoline. I am at 300,000 miles on my 2015.
