For budget friendly option, you can try Nexen Roadian AT Pro RA8. Korean made, quite durable been using it for 30k kms and no problem so far.

Ung mga at tires ng falken, at4 ata latest ngayon. Been using the at3w for around 50k+ km na ata, out of 10 puncture, 1 lang ata tumagos. Pero sakin mostly byahe ko is 70% highway, 30% laguna-bicol. So fsr ok naman.

I've had KO2s on 3 of my cars. 2 pickups and an LC200. Best part of it is halos puncture proof sya. I frequently travel to Bicol and and daming beses na ako nabutasan. With the KO2s never pa.

They're quite a bit cheaper than the BF Goodrich KO2/KO3 but also have really good reviews.
They're very quiet also kahit high speed and we have had no issues whatsoever for the last 25K KM. And by the looks of it, might last another 25K KM pa.
I am using them on my FJ Cruiser though, hindi pickup. Pero I'm sure maraming pickups na gumagamit din.
Prior to this I was using the stock Dunlop Grandtrek AT22, and I had multiple punctures kasi may gravel road ang dinadaanan ko palagi, ever since nagpalit ako (it's been almost 3 years now) and wala pa kahit isa. Same road.

My winters aren't too different, and I've had or have all of them: Pilot Alpin, X-Ice Snow, and CC2 (all North American versions). The CC2 were just too floppy and imprecise for me, and that's on a modified daily driver crossover. On a 986 the steering and handling response would be damaged noticeably over Pilot Alpins imo. If you're a fan of feel (and likely traction overall, honestly), get the UHP winters. They're by far my category of choice because of the sporty feel they maintain on performance cars.
