Bosch icons. Hands down best wipers ever.
Owner reviews for wiper blades
At 5,000 miles I replaced the factory 4Runner blades with Trico Neoform beam blades (a B grade wiper in my book) and they still perform like brand new blades 10,000 miles later, including having been in the Florida heat followed by Connecticut ice, snow, and salt slurry.
Trico wiper blades are pretty great in a heavy downpour.
They've been screeching like banshees when they move. I washed the blades down with a cloth and WD40. They're back to quiet and I won't drive off a cliff due to the uncomfortable noise any more.
The Bosch Icon blades are just as good if not better and cost 1/2 the price.
Bosch Icons. I’ve had them on my previous three cars. More than $25 each (but there are discount codes). Better than OEM, last longer, too. They’re like tires, more expensive, but worth the price. Those are the only two things I don’t keep OEM.
FCP has a set of Bosch wipers for $23 (mk4). That includes both wipers and they’re different lengths.
Or you can get the Bosch Aerotwins as a set appropriate for your car off of Amazon.
2006 NC miata. Just replaced my wipers from whatever the previous owner had on them. Got 18 inch michelins, but I noticed this gap where the wiper doesn’t rest on the glass.
I’m pretty sure I finally managed to install correctly. But maybe not?
FWIW, assuming it’s not my faulty installation, this gap did not exist with the old wipers.
I used to use Icons and they were garbage. I switched to a silicone blade rain x and they are great.
