Battery OEM Nissan or AC DELCO
My EV is 8 this year. I've not noticed a drop in range over that time, but I'll find out when it goes in for its last battery health check before the warranty expires.
I'm gonna 2nd the AC Delco recommendation. I have had nothing but issues with Duracell's leaking. I have never had an issue with AC Delco. Its the only battery I buy. The best.
I quick charged my Leaf over 350 times in 2 years and it barely degraded the battery.
I put in ACDelco and surprisingly it lasted till last week (Aug 2024).
The AcDelco I installed in 2021 December died this morning so I'd say it's good. It lasted almost 3 years and I only park outside + have a whole sound system + aftermarket horns.
My Nissan eats batteries, about every 2 years. Nissan brand or not. It just likes new ones I guess
San Antonio Leaf driver here, a Leaf is fine in Texas as long as you don't want to do road trips (battery heating gets to be an issue around 250 miles on a 40kWh on the interstate). This sub is overwhelmingly negative on the Leaf, despite it being a good local commuter.
I’m on my 3rd battery since Nov 2021. Every time it has lasted me 1 year and 3-4 months. Not even 2 years.
I don’t have a parasitic drain. I don’t use AC a lot. I don’t jumpstart cars with it. There is no excessive load on it. Yet, they all lasted less than 2 years.
Amaron best, 2nd is solite.
Worst was ac delco. Always gave me 1 year max.
I went through the same last month. 2019 Nissan LEAF I bought as a Certified Used Car from a Nissan dealership out of state last year with only 6,998 miles on it. They included the Nissan Factory Wrap warranty and I also bought an extended power chain warranty ( with a really good discount) too. My car was 52 months old when I experienced the No Start condition due to the 12 volt battery.
