Brake pads Akebono or Ferodo
I run the Akebono ceramic pads and they helped a lot.
The brake pads you use make a huge difference. I had a Mustang before I bought my 340i that was insanely dusty, so I switched to ceramic pads and it’s made a massive difference. I’ve used them ever since. My car is mostly a garage queen who sees a back road on rare days when the sun is just right, so they’re perfect for me.
Akebono pads
I’d recommend DS2500’s. They are a bit noisy for everyday but the performance is worth it. Nice and predictable feel
I have personally bought Ferodo brake pads from AF1racing for my 2022 SR/S. Pads work great
I used Akebono pro act 914a for the fronts. This combo has been working great for the fronts.
Akebono for pads. I put them to all the family cars/friends including Accord, CRV, Camry and now Civic.
Akebono for low dust.
Akebono have always served me well. Felt slightly better than OEM IMO. I’ve also tried EBC Greenstuff’s…brake feel was just ok and they wore very quickly (less than 20k miles).
SOLVED - I simply overheated the pads. Spoke to Ferodo and I followed their advice: Bed in was fine. Overheating led to pad material bake to the rotors. 120 grit block sanding on the rotors removed this. Pads were a little glazed but 80 grit sanding removed the shiny bits. Bed in again and running well but haven’t pushed it yet so unsure if the pads are done.
