Cabin filter Mann or OEM Nissan
replace cabin air filter recommended every 15K miles
Changed cabin filter twice myself.
The Mann Frescious Plus ones are really good. But they are hard to find sometimes. I’ve also done well with the OEM one from VW. I’d avoid the WIX one. The charcoal is not well contained in the filter and it blows through the vents into the cabin and gets all over everything.
In addition, replaced air filter and cabin filter with Mann products at approx. 10,000 miles.
Mann carbon activated filter is the best OEM
Cabin air filter is something you need to replace periodically. $130 seems high but I have tried it myself and found it to be a PITA. I took it to a dealer, who charged something like $100 but it felt worth it to me.
I do mine every time i do my oil, I buy Mann carbon impregnated ones
I just buy the MANN filter at o reileys and change it myself.
I removed the factory interior filter as well and installed a Mann Frecious Plus filter instead.
Not a mechanic but have to be because I have to keep our cars on the road. I'll tell you what the bastard that decides where cabin filters need to be. I want 5 minutes alone in a room with their ass. In my wife's Nissan I have to lay on the drivers floorboard upside down with half my body out of the car on the ground to gain access to the side panel that's next to the gas pedal. From there you have to pull out this accordion looking filter element out of it's chamber that is seemingly too small for it and once your back is killing you and all the blood has rushed to your head you have to somehow shove the new one in that isn't as old and flexible without passing out. As a 40 year old overweight dude it kills me.
