OEM Mazda Cabin filter

I switched to a Mazda 3 as a daily but I loved the CX-50, CX-5, and no doubt in my mind the Mazda 6 holds its place.\n\nThe layout under the hood was similar to my 13' fusion. Changing oil was easier, engine air filter was easier, cabin air filter was easier.

Pros: easier cabin air filter
Vehicle: Mazda 3

OEM Mazda Cabin filter

The cabin air filter is one of the easiest I have ever replaced, you don't have to pull the whole glove box out in order to get to it.

Pros: easy to replace, no glove box removal
Vehicle: Mazda

Fram Cabin filter

I’d just get the standard FRAM, WIX, or so on if you wanted better airflow. If you don’t have bad allergies I’d just get regular since the benefit isn’t really noticeable otherwise, and then you get worse airflow.

Pros: better airflow
Cons: worse airflow

Fram Cabin filter

Now, I just replaced the cabin filter on my (new to me) 2021 Kia Soul for the second time in 9 months and the new one which is a Fram, smells so musty and stale when it’s on recirculate, I might just replace it with another one to see if it makes a difference. It literally smells like stale moth balls. If I take the filter out and run it, smell goes away.

Cons: musty and stale smell
Vehicle: Kia Soul
