Engine oil Castrol or MOTUL
From my experience with a Toyota echo; does not matter the brand, only the type. My echo was a 10w40 semi synthetic. once she started consuming a little more oil, I was then just filling her up with any 10w40 semi synthetic I could afford. There was no difference of her running on Castrol vrs the mixed bag of what it ended up with, as I always put Castrol as my oil of choice for a complete change.
Have used a few brands, I think it’s running Castrol 5w40 right now.
Castrol 5w40 Euro spec, my car runs better on that than 5w30
Mirage HB din unit ko so far from stock oil (0W20) nag Motul H100 ako na 5W30 so far good so good naman siya. Para kasing mas ideal satin yung 5w30 kasi wala naman snow. Na notice ko lang is yung vibration and fuel efficiency niya na medyo tolerable naman.
I use just regular old Castrol Edge full synthetic 0W-40 in my 2012 Jetta year round, currently has 156k miles on it (251km).
I used both wrong spec oil and wrong weight oil on my 06 Rabbit 2.5 for about four years. I was an idiot. However, nothing ever happened. I'm at 223,000 miles and the cams look brand new, engine runs smoothly.
Castrol works fine.
i use motul 5w40 and i have an S model. I found that the mobile 5w40 that was recommended broke down faster than i think it should. 0 issue with motul for last 3-4 years
I used Castrol oil and was not satisfied but this oil till date has helped alittle with consumption as well.
Yes, Castrol is crapola, so is Kendall. Valvoline is the best.
