Engine oil Castrol or OEM FORD
Redline and motul are the best but I’ve been running catrol for 50k+.
As far as the castrol goes I bought a used 2018 Kia soul that had a slight knock in the engine for ultra cheap and I was able to make that sound go completely away once I switched to Castrol edge. My vehicle also seamed to burn a lot less oil.
Jeez I feel like an outcast. I run Castrol 20-50 lol but the car loves it
I might switch to liquimoly like a lot of ppl do but I’ve always stuck with the Castrol edge 5w-40, changing around 5k
I been using castrol 5w40 since I got the car new at 82 miles no issues. Sent my oil samples to blackstone for analysis and oil is really good even at 10k.
That's what the dealer and I use. Castrol 5W40
A few years ago Castrol decided to dye all their Magnatec oils green... it was pretty dark green as well.
I used to use German Castrol 0w20 in my Volvo and it was green too.
I use 10w40 full synthetic oil, and only the best quality stuff. Valvoline, Castrol, Pennsoil, Mobil1, Idemitsu end the like. Before my rebuild, I was using Idemitsu Rotary blend but switched to Castrol GTX. The GTX semi synthetic blend had a slightly lower oil temp and lasted longer per oil change than the Idemitsu, indicating that it was lubricating better.
If you want to do 5k oil changes, best to switch back to Castrol GTX or any cheapo oil as you'll have no significant advantage using synthetic for short periods of time.
