Engine oil Castrol or OEM Mazda
Castrol semi synthetic Actevo for my F800st.
I've always been a Castrol man for my BMW car.
From my personal experience, I used to use Mobil 1 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum oils, which are really high-quality oils. However, I did notice a big difference when I began using the OEM Mazda oil. I don't know what is so different about it, but my engine runs much more smoothly and very quietly. When I am at a stop light, I don't even feel the engine running, it's gotten that quiet, and I just hit over 100k miles.
Castrol Power 1 ultimate is great and cheaper too.
but real talk: Castrol GTX Synthetic 10w40 in Tennessee summers and 5w40 in winter.
5W30 Castrol edge full synthetic
Castrol Syntec 5W-30, because of this: [https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/258663-vq-oil-analysis-and-info.html](https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/258663-vq-oil-analysis-and-info.html)
Between it and the Castrol Syntec 0W-30 it has less wear indicators in the oil than any other brand, at any other weight.
Redline and motul are the best but I’ve been running catrol for 50k+.
As far as the castrol goes I bought a used 2018 Kia soul that had a slight knock in the engine for ultra cheap and I was able to make that sound go completely away once I switched to Castrol edge. My vehicle also seamed to burn a lot less oil.
I was using the OEM Castrol 5w40 and recently switched to Castrol European Formula 0w40. I found that I had the oil level drop a bit (oil burn perhaps) with the latter. For the current change I went back to OE Castrol and will see if things go back to no level drop.
