Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or Shell
I run LM on my track car and it’s fine . Drive 2.5 hours , beat the living shit out of it, drive home no issues
For 10W-60, if you compare the data sheets of every one available the Liqui-Moly is the closest in spec to the original Castrol TWS that the engine was designed for. That's why I stick with the LM after BMW and Castrol parted ways. Been using it in my cars and clients for 10 years now.
I have 6500 miles since my last change and the oil still looks clear/clean. 2018 GTI, MT, 360HP. I get on the car hard at times with NO change in temp's.
new filter and oil (Rotella T6 highly recommended)
Every BMW I buy used, 2 cans of molly flush and then Liquid Molly oil. You can feel the engine loosed up, quiet down and work great.
Shell Rotella T6 will change your life on n54
I've been running Liqui Moly in my cars. For me, it's reasonably priced, meets spec, and it seems to be generally well regarded from what I've read.
I’ve been using “Rotella-T 15w-40” (non synthetic) in my 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100C since I bought it used in 2006. It’s a fine oil.
T6 is great motorcycle oil I've used it often.
I exclusively use rotella in my bikes. It's cheap and good oil.
