Engine oil Mobil or OEM Volkswagen
I use Mobil 1 for engine oil, and Honda stuff for transmission fluid.
I use 0-40 Mobil one and have 235k miles now. Never have had an issue. I switch between the European blend and high mileage. Never has made a difference.
I use Mobil 1 high mileage 10w40 in North East Ohio Year round. No complaints
The oil spec for the 1.8L engine in my 2019 Golf Sportwagen S 4motion is 502.00 (5W40). After my last oil change at the dealer I questioned whether they used the correct oil because the service ticket was written up wrong. The dealer supplied these photos to show how the different grades of oil are actually different colors. The oil on my dipstick was caramel colored, so I knew it was the correct grade for my car after all.
I’ve been doing annual oil changes with the mobil1 15/20k oil and 15/20k filter. Oil comes out clean every year, no problems.
I've put Mobil 1 in everything I've owned for the past 30 years and change it at 10,000, but I'd never push it to 20,000.
That PN is listed as genuine Volkswagen oil for your vehicle. You’re all good!
Mobil 1 esp 5w30
$33 for a jug at AutoZone.
On my first oil change I used Mobil One Synthetic 5w30. That's what most people recommended as well, at least as far as being able to stop into a store and grab some real quick. There's probably better stuff that's pricier and harder to find.
So, again, I bought a new one and threw it on just last night. I took it for a ride to get it warmed up and I'm still having low oil pressure.
