Engine oil PENNZOIL or AMSOIL
Using 5W30 since deleting the MDS system from my engine. Amsoil Signature, every 6 months or 8000 km.
Older high mileage car: Pennzoil High Mileage blend. Works better for me than Valvoline MaxLife to reduce gasket seeping and weeping.
I use 5w30 Pennzoil platinum and a Fram Endurance synthetic oil filter in all my Subes.
I personally use Pennzoil Platinum in my Ascent and Mobil 1 in my Crosstrek, mostly for cost and availability reasons.
I’ve been using Penzoil Ultra Platinum in my Jeep and it’s been running great, so far lol. The cold flow properties of the oil I use is really important because the winters here can be rough, thus why after watching that video I swapped to it.
I called Amsoil and asked about this many years ago. They said for *my* bike, with the 5 speed tranny, they recommended the same 20w50 in all 3 holes.
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in all my cars.
I run the 5w-40 amsoil diesel oil in mine. No issues whatsoever.
My GT350 gets Amsoil. Had no issues with either one.
Using the same oil but 15W50 for Himalayan. Satisfied with the performance. Even after long rides, the engine feels crisp.
