Headlights OEM Mazda or OEM Volkswagen
I'm night blind and my 2025 BE headlights are fantastic. I'm not sure if I'm half retarded, but it almost seems like the Matrix is activated from the factory. My menu has "dynamic lights" able to be activated, and they work great.
First thing I did when I bought mine was swap out the dim eBay halos for some stock replacements. Still in there 12+ years later!
We had this on our 2021. VW replaced under warranty but not before making sure we didn’t touch the headlights to cause it ourselves
My dad has had the OE European (glass) headlights on his Mk4 Golf since 2002. They still look great all these years later, despite 300,000+ miles on them. The European beam pattern is so much better than the U.S. one, too.
I had them in my Mk4 Golf Tdi. E-Codes from Vw they were a lot brighter.
My 2024 does this when the weather fluctuates, it clears up after a bit once the weather stabilizes or the mid morning sun hits it. I was also told it's normal to an extent, fog or light condensation will clear up. Was told to let them know if it looks like water is running down inside, streaking, doesn't clear up, puddles, or if the whole thing fogs up, then the overall seal has failed or is faulty.
It’s a nightmare when I drive my 5 at night… being so low and everyone driving SUV’s the lights just wreck me constantly! Sitting at lights I basically have someone firing a torch directly into my rear view mirror.
The halogen headlights are not good at all. The visibility on low beam is poor and I almost have to rely on high beam. I am planning to upgrade but would like to know what others recommend.
I had to lower the angle of my mazda's headlights. Out of the factory, they were way too high and directly shining into other car's cabins
The default setting for the headlights were adjusted as high as they went. Annoyingly you couldn't change it whilst driving, you had to root around in the infotainment.
