Shock absorbers KYB or OLD MAN EMU
I like the MonoMax, good bang for the buck
I just put a full set of the kyb shocks into my vy ss. But they seem pretty good. Can't fault them.
Other than stock, the only "ride" I have personally experienced with specific shocks was on a Jeep with Old Man Emu installed. The quality was great, compared to the OEM's, and I had occasion to ride in that Jeep when it had both, at one time or another. Ride was greatly improved with OME.
I like KYB shocks for daily driving because they’re softer than bilsteins or rancho. I’m running Moog constant rate springs with KYB shocks and it’s a smooth predictable ride. I used them in a Pontiac torrent and wrangler with the same results.
for my 2008 Prius I did kyb all four corners in 2019 and the dust boots have now disintegrated. the shocks themselves are still fine.
money no problem might wanna just go with the full fat ome bp51. if you get it tuned right it can literally go toe to toe with some airsus systems
It has Old Man Emu Shock absorbers on it already (no idea which or hold old as they came with the car)
They’re fine stock replacements, mine just started to leak after 4k years and roughly 20,000 miles
I was expecting KYB to last way longer than this. The OEM struts/shocks on my 2007 Rav4 lasted 193k, and I replaced the front struts and rear shocks with KYB from RockAuto. After 37k miles (230k miles now), it's bouncy again.
I installed KYB shocks and the ride quality sucks. Very rough
