Thermostat OEM Audi or OEM Nissan
replaced the thermostat with a factory Nissan OEM thermostat. Completely fixed the problem..
I have an 06 Audi A3 2.0T Sportback with just over 105k miles; recently replaced the thermostat, spark plugs and coil packs. Other than being in need of some new brakes and a bit of cosmetic love, she's running strong.
yes the part was OEM from nissan
I’ve had so many replacements fail in all my Nissans over the years that I just get an oem one from a dealer. Never had an oem one shit out yet.
Since going with the OEM thermostat, my temp gauge has stayed pinned just below the middle of the gauge, even towing campers and heavy loads on hot days.
Only an OEM Thermostat fixed it.
I had this exact issue with 3 aftermarket thermostats that were opening too early. Bought one from Nissan and my temps went back to normal
Recently had the exact same issue on a 14 a6 ended up being a DOA t stat I compared the shaft length on the new t start to the 2nd new t stay and sure enough it protruded out about a mm further just enough to not seal properly causing the over cooling after the swap no more issues.
Had this happen to our 2018 Q5 a few months back, 35k miles on the SUV. Thermostat issue plus some other stuff.
I recently changed my thermostat due to my temp gauge occasionally dancing. The old thermostat appears to be bypassed as theres no actual thermostat in the housing. After putting on a new nissan one and oem gasket i bled the system with a overflow funnel for about 40 minutes until i stopped seeing bubble. Also using peak 50/50. Afterwards my overheating problem has gotten worse i overheat in about 10 minutes. I tried bleeding again and same results.
