Tires BRIDGESTONE or Goodyear
I daily Goodyear mtr tires. Recently drove a 700 mile trip on them. You will hear them, but they aren't that bad. They perform pretty well on road, about the same as the duratracs I had before.
Goodyear Super Car 3 > RS4 if you’re looking at longevity and pace.
I put Goodyear Exhilarates on my 6 and they were awesome. Extremely good traction in the rain. Never really used them in winter weather, but they were phenomenal wet or dry.
Blizzaks is what I have on. They are amazing
Update.... I got the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrives for the van after some research and discussion with Tire Rack. They have pretty much eliminated tire noise and sharp impacts, which is great.
+1 for Blizzaks. I feel like I can go anywhere
In Wisconsin on my 2019 Atlas sel premium v6 I use Winter Tires Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 245/60R18 on Atlas OEM rims.
The Bridgestone RE780 AS is another excellent tire- I'd say it's nearly as good as the Michelin, definitely better than the BFG. Where it falls down is cost- it's about the same price as the Michelin PS A/S line of all seasons and does not have the same performance. Great in the dry, great in the wet- the dry grip is not as good as the Michelin.
Mine came with the bridge stones. They are a little noisier than I would like and they certainly don't offer the traction I want.
I was unfortunate to receive my GTI with a set of the RE97AS's. Rough surfaces are the worst - makes everything in the car rattle or vibrate. Dry grip is quite poor (as others have mentioned), bad breakaway even at low throttle inputs. At cruising speeds on newer highways (rubberized asphalt) everything seems fine.
