Tires BRIDGESTONE or Vredestein
Blizzak hands down. I get 3 winters out of a set no problem.
Bought a set of Blizzak WS90s two years ago and they have tons of tread left after two seasons. Wear obviously depends on how you drive, but mine have held up great for regular commuting and trips to the valley. Very good at handling deep snow, never got stuck.
The Blizzaks always performed better, in my experience, and my WS90s have lasted just fine. I’m not sure how they’d be considered bad on dry roads, can’t say I’ve had any issues.
I had WS80s for a few years with no issues.
Blizzak tires are golden lasted 7 years.
I’ve got blizzaks on both vehicles. Only ran generic winter tires before that and the improvement was crazy.
Paid a pretty penny for my WS90s, going on sixth winter still good shape
I had Supercats for a while and they were meh at best but did the job.
TLDR; I had to replace my Bridgestone Weatherpeaks within 5 months and 7,000 miles with 2 tire rotations and balances in between. I opted to go with Michelin instead.
I've had my Mazda 3 turbo for 20k miles now and in that time, 2 of the Turanza tires had sidewall bubbles that compromised them. Not to mention, they are just noisy and feel like they have pretty lame grip. They are not confidence-inspiring at all and suck in the cold.
