Continental DWS, best tire for the money in my opinion
Achilles tires are really lightweight and can take some abuse
So far I think the continentals transition response actually matches MINIs personality better, despite it having lower absolutely grip.
I’m rocking Conti PureContact LS’s on my 14 hatchback and they’ve been awesome
Mines a daily driver and I run continentals for snow and heavy rain. The only way your slipping with them is if your trying to.
I had gotten some Achilles Desert Hawk UHP tires, they were really good for the price and held up a good while.
I love my Sports. This summer will be my second season on my current set. Only have about 11k on them so far.
The Sports are a phenomenal tire though. They handle my IS38 with ease and boy do they feel amazing in the mountains.
I agree, they are a phenomenal tire that is very well rounded.
From my experience between PSS and CSC05's The Contis are a lot less sticky (comparatively anyway) and have a bit more flex.
My 2013 Tig with continental contact-pro tires has just lost the 2nd tire to sidewall failure at only 30k mi. First was a blowout, thankfully while parked. Second was a slow leak. No known issue that would have caused side-wall failure. Never saw that before.
