DWS06+ is a great choice for A/S IMO. I think I prefer them over actual summers as a daily tire for summer as well: better tread life, better ride, nicely communicative, & plenty of grip for open road endeavors IME.
Conti’s DWS 06. Quieter ride so far I found them to be better than the original Perelli that came with the vehicle that said I do live in upstate New York and haven’t tested them in the snow, but I’ve had them since March and I couldn’t be happier.
We bought some excellent continental tires from the tire rack. Much quieter.
There was no Pirreli available, and I had to settle with continental. To be honest, the grip is almost as good, and they are more resistant to potholes.
Go with the 7's, the prices are awesome right now. Great tire, have them on the wifes SUV.
The conti's have been good to me so far. At 40k, so I'm coming up close to replacement.
My OG conti lasted me 65K, I decided to just stick with them
My conti lasted me lil pass 48k and rotated every 6k miles or so.
I just put the Enduro soft Kryptotal Fr and Re on and totally agree with your impression, they grip well but man are they noticeably slower than other similar tires. In my case Exo+ DHF and DHRs. I honestly don't know that the grip is worth it. I'm definitely not improving my time uphill or downhill.
I have 30k on my 22 hatch and while they still have tread depth the compound has deteriorated so badly that they understeer in the cold at low speed.
