Tires Continental or Goodyear
In Virginia, use a 245/40 continental dws. Did great in our last snow
The continent Viking contact 7 is what I run in Colorado mountains. IMO best bang for buck winter tire. It’s my ski car so if there is powder I am there and hasn’t failed me yet.
I replaced the run flats on my ‘24 X7 last week. I have 22” staggered wheels and replaced them with the Continental DWS06. Couldn’t be happier. This is my second X7 and I love the car, but I wanted more than 10k out of a set of tires.
I’ve been running conti DWS 06s on my X5/7s for years. Really like them. Good all weather traction, even in the snow. If you’re in lots of snow often then a true winter/summer setup is best as nothing beats snow tires, but for the usual storms we get in the Denver area they’re solid.
I have used Good Year Opti-life pro 3 for the last 100,000 KMS of driving that I have done in the 16 leaf. Around $200 per tyre fitted. I have original rims, so this price is for 205/55-16. I get 38,000 kms on average and I drive hard. I u-turn and reverse a lot as I do food delivery work 150 KMS a day. Highly recommend them.
I am absolutely loving my 2014 WRX hatchback on Continental DWS's tires. My friend who absolutely WHIPS his Porsche Boxster couldn't keep up and told me to "slow dooooown".
My CX-50 rides incredibly smooth even on 20” wheels after upgrading to premium all-season tires from the stock Goodyear.
Recently bought and installed CONTINENTAL AllSeasonContact 2 XL EVc. They are amazing, quiet and perfect on wet and dry roads. I’m so happy.
Yeah the territory MT that come stock on cars have notoriously thin sidewalls and are being advertised to do all this extreme off-roading, but the aftermarket spec territory MT is a bit better.
Yeah, unfortunately those stock tires are trash. Especially with the 19” rims, they get used up quickly and you can feel every single rock you drive over with them. I’m not surprised they hadn’t lasted very long.
