Tires Continental or KENDA
Based on the above comment you will love the Conti's Really giving up very little except at the extreme limits Tire wear is excellent and they perform great in the wet which in my opinion is the most important performance criteria
I have a kenda 760 rear on my kx85, I think I only run like 10-14psi in it but it feels fine.
I have ridden GP5000 25c for several thousand miles. Front tire is at 90 PSI, rear at 100. Rides smooth and I haven’t had a flat but once when I clearly deserved it ( smashed a pothole at speed, probably lucky I didn’t break my rim)
After replacing 3 Toyo’s with bubbles I went with Conti DWS +. Handle potholes way better and better grip in bad weather.
I have ContiProContact tires for my R-60. I most definitely purchased Run Flats as they were the “MINI Approved” tires suggested by service guy at the MINI dealership.
Personally I would recommend the Continental EXTREME CONTACT DWS 06. They are as good if not better than Michelin Pilot Super Sport.
Continental Terrain Contact AT. Best tire I ever owned. Even better than General Grabbers
The other snow tire I used in my 14 years of driving is a Continental Winter Contact SI which was excellent on highway winter driving but not as good for snowy road driving.
Decided to bump it up 5 to 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 and try some Continental ExtremeContact tires. Tested them out and noticed the faster I go the more floaty or the feeling that the car is 30 feet long (aka 1980's boat sized cars). Is this from what I've read that the sidewalls are softer on continental tires?
I don't know if anyone has had the same experience with the 270, but my Kenda 280s have been awful on wet roads. Like riding on ice... Truly scary. I guess because the rubber compound is cheap. May not be an issue if you live in a dry climate.
