Tires Continental or Nokia
I definitely noticed a smoother ride so far and I would argue a bit more traction. I’ve only had them on for a day so I’ll have to see how much range loss I’ll experience and if they perform better or worse when pushed. Plus I believe I have a quality replacement from the OEM that my MYP came with.
Nokian hakkapeliittas are great - my #1 pick. Blizzaks good to great and much cheaper. No complaints with the Blizzaks, but I just had the impression with the Hakkas that they were another level - really surprisingly good in the worst conditions.
I bought a set of Continental Viking Contact 7s and had them mounted on a cheap set of rims from Tire Rack. Samaritan Tire swaps them for me each spring and fall and stores them for me in the off season. It's really easy and it's worth it for my own peace of mind.
I’m a fan of Nokian brand. Finland knows snow and it shows in their tires. I’ve been using them for years and love having dedicated snow tires. After I had been using them for about 5 years, I talked my wife into getting a set for her car. She was mad I hadn’t talked her into it sooner.
Conti ecs 02 is the go to rain tire for many people from my understanding and they hold up well on track if it's dry. If you drive them hard they can get a little greasy after 20 minutes on track but Im on my second set and don't have plans to change it up for my third
Exteme contact sports are great especially in the wet.
Continental extreme contacts. They're just amazing on this car
If you're commuting every day I'd for sure get the studded Hakkas.
... Continentals ... incredible to 50% tread wear in my experience ... then not so incredible even with 5-6,000 mile balance/rotations.
I installed Continental GP Urban tires today which are very similar to GP 5000 that are very popular. Today on a fast mildly steep paved dry decent when making a slight turn - my rear wheel slipped. Switched to conti GP expecting some good performance and they do roll better but they have far less grip than vittoria zaffiro pro graphene.
