Tires DUNLOP or Goodyear
19 SEL came with Goodyear Assurance tires. No complaints so far at 6K miles. I'll be buying Cooper CS5s when the time comes. I put a set on another car I own and it was like night and day. Never knew a set of tires could make that big a difference in 40+ years of maintaining cars. Far far smoother ride and to top it off they are made in the USA. One of the few left.
Currently using Goodyear Weather Ready tires. They have been great so far. I find they are better than the X-Ice I used to have.
I did 15k mi on a rear Dunlop RoadSmart II and 25k on the front.
My rear tire lasts 12000 miles or 20000 kilometers easily, the front probably more.
I haven’t looked at the Goodyear data myself, but I have spoken to people at Calspan, and I’ve been told that the Goodyear mu is “10% higher than the Hoosier stuff”.
235/35/19 Dunlop sp winter Max or whatever they are called. Absolutely love them.
• Front wheels has stock dunlops and rear wheels has all season but forgot the name. Gonna get new sets before next winter starts.
2 years ago, I got Dunlop Winter Sport 4Ds (205/55/16) for 443 shipped. 4Ds aren't the best winter tire out, but really I didn't need blizzaks.
I am not exactly sure what comes on these but the Good Year Wrangler AT with Kevlar that came on my Tacoma Off Road were the worst tires I have ever owned in 30 or so years. At 20k miles they were done. Every one had a patch. Every one had slow leaks and the wear was crazy at 20k 2 years.
From my personal experience from owning Goodyear’s that they are only good for one good year and horrible in the rain trying to take off from a dead stop.
