Tires Falken or BFGoodrich
The AT4Ws are much, **much** quieter and rides smoother but my main reason for switching from the MTs to ATs is because I couldn't stand the lack of grip in wet weather with mud tires. The AT4Ws still aren't quite as good as the stock Goodyears but a bit better than the MTs in the rain. Otherwise, the AT4Ws are on the cheaper end cost-wise but still a fan favorite.
Got them on Tacoma, about 6000-km have been in a few serous rain storms and one white out snow storm all on the highway.
I think they are perfect for my truck
10k on mine so far with no complaints.
I'm running 265/70/17 and love mine. Better grip on wet pavement than my previous road biased tire. Haven't done much offroading on them, but what I have done has been great
On road they ride quiet and comfortable.
Have done low-moderate rock crawling and off-roading in all weather types after this past winter. I can’t speak completely to longevity but they are a very capable and durable tire. The cons for me are weight. They are on the heavier side of the AT tires out there.
They’re heavy so you will take a slight hit to your gas mileage, but I personally love them. Ride quiet and do great off road.
I have AT4Ws on my current F150 and have no complaints.
I also have AT3Ws. I live in MN/WI and we have sub 0 temps usually long stretches and they don’t honestly do that great when nice fluffy snow becomes the hard packed stuffed mixed with dry pavement.
They are a good tire since I have had them on for 65,000 miles just this set… ( get new tires soon )
I think I will be going another direction. They just get too loose when temps get colder.
Summer spring fall driving they have been great.
Mine were down to 50% tread and didn't have enough traction on snow at ~20k miles. If you drive on serious snow, consider getting rid of them by 15 to 20k miles.
My Crosstrek Limited came with the same Falkens. They were performing poorly in the wet when only half worn. I replaced them at 23k miles when they had 4/32" before winter.
