Tires Falken or Kumho
Just put these on my 2013 Crosstrek about a month ago. Have yet to really test the tire this winter but in every other metric they are…unnoticeable in the best way. They also make the car look a bit more capable, which is a nice perk.
Work pretty well for me in snow, city, light offroading. Road noise is fine and mpg hit isn't drastic. No issues so far.
I currently have 55k miles on my Falkens. Have spent many, many days in heavy snow in the mountains of Washington and Colorado without an issue. Great tires, I will be getting another pair
I run falcon wild peaks on my fj cruiser and 100 series. They’re a great value for money tyre.
I will never buy a tire that's not made by Falken again.
They've been great on all my trucks and cars. They have a great warranty too.
I'm on my fifth set of Wildpeaks, and I won't be buying anything else. They're the best tires for all around driving on any surface I've run, and I've been driving since 1970
I put 50,000 miles on a set of Falken Wildpeaks on a 2019 Duramax that regularly pulled a gooseneck trailer. They aren't great on muddy roads, but do well in the winter and summer driving.
wildpeak. Had used ones with minimal tread, they were fantastic. I could tow uphill on gravel through the snow in 2wd.
i did not understand the difference between load rating when i ran my ko2, had a good side wall tear ko2 in snow was meh but it was nice not to have to put chains on in chain control i now run the wildpeak in 35 and they are chonky. i think they work pretty good on/off road. tho gas mileage sucks now on the bigger tire. neither tire is very loud and I can't hear them inside the gx.
I was considering CC2 vs. Wildpeak A/T Trails. I went with the latter and regret it. I do 100% of my driving on streets and chose the Wildpeaks because of aesthetics. I took a 2-3mpg hit to an already inefficient car.
