Tires Firestone or Cooper
As someone who was a parts manager at a dealership and worked with these tires. The Pro control would be your best option. Second would be the Endevors. These two are good for warm weather and wet driving, If you live where it snows they would be ok for Light snow ( packed snow and ice they wont work).
It's a great tire I had a set on my 1971 camaro no issues at all
Had the LE3s for 4 years on my escalade driving up and down the mountains and road tripping western US. A great tire, I took it through highway, pothole city, rain, snow, ice and even sand.
I currently have Firestone LE3's on my 14 Explorer. They have a little over 26k miles on them. 255/50/20's for $930 mounted/balanced back in 2021. Overall pretty good tires, especially for the money. Smooth, good traction in the dry/wet and pretty good in the snow. They did seem to get louder fairly quickly, but I don't think they've really gotten any worse over the last 15k miles. Wet roads seem to exacerbate the noise. Last time I looked at them (few k miles ago), they were wearing really well. I can't say I'd buy them again yet, but if they get us another 26k miles without getting significantly louder, they (or their successor) would be on the list. In the past I had OE Hankooks (good dry/wet, excellent life, absolutely terrible in the snow) and Michelin Premier LTX (good in all conditions, short life, overpriced for what they were).
I bought 4 new Cooper tires and 1 of them developed a defect 6 months and 2/32 of use. Cooper tire stood behind their tire and gave me a free replacement and reimbursed me for mounting and balancing. I've purchased Cooper tires in the past and will continue to do so. They're a great AMERICAN manufacturer.
I have 15k miles on mine and love them so far. They have a 65k mile warranty
I have a pair of Cooper Discoverer tires on my Nissan. They are really quiet on the highway and very good on non-paved terrain like gravel and mud. Can’t speak for snow, don’t get a whole lot in my area. They are super tough too. I’ve screamed the side wall and nothing happened. I’ve had a nail go into the tread sideways and it didn’t puncture the tire. The only thing I will say is they pick up small debris like rocks if you spend a lot of time off road. But I would highly recommend them.
I just got myself a set of Cooper discoverer stronghold ATs 275/60/20. They were just released and according to my tire guy they are to compete with the falken wildpeaks. Got a really good price on them compared to the falkens and so far I have nothing but good things to say. If I remember correctly they are quite a bit lighter than other comparable tires. My mileage didn’t budge switching from 31.9” tires to 33”.
My 2018 Stinger had the summers PS4S and they wore like crap. Replaced them with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 extreme summers as I already had a 18" squared Blizzak set up. Cheapest summer only I could find that had decent reviews.
Had a much better looking set of old coopers ruin a very clean square body s10 bed. The entire tread patch separated and beat the bottom corners round before it came off.
