Tires Giti or Shinko
Shinko SR777 HD (reinforced) tires on my '04 FLHRSI as best bang for the buck given how ex$pen$ive the premium tires are these days. It helps to check the psi more often for longevity though.
I run shinko 777 in the rear. It's cheap and I like them. The compound is a bit hard so you'll lose cold weather performance. But I ride in 45 degrees and above and haven't had issues with them.
I have shinko 805/804s, they are pretty identical to the 606s, and I absolutely love them. If you balance them well they ride good at 75mph, and handle dirt fantastic.
I switched to the shinko 244 front and have loved the d606 rear combo. It dives into the corners on the road and will give you about 80% confidence on the dirt.
Ran a set of 777s on my sportster and they are great tires ! Was very happy with them.
Even with these cheap Giti tires I have about 80% less wheel spin in snowy conditions compared to normal \"Street\" mode in same conditions. Turning a corner, the stability is enhanced and feels safer.
I've had a 2019 Tiguan S as a dealer loaner for six days and counting, while my 2017 Tiguan SEL is being worked on. Giti brand tires (wtf) aren't too noisy.
Back in Dec 2022 I bought a new set of Giti E1 tires from a reseller and got them installed with alignment. The tires felt slippery in the wet even after 3 months of usage. I could feel the rear of the car sliding out even when doing 30-40km/h on a wet right bend.
Reason I Found this out is one of the NEW giti tires busted a side wall and had to go buy a new tire already after only 4500 miles and when we left the tire shop the TPMS came on so we took it back to check the tire pressure and he said oh you just have to reset it
I also have now learned that GITI does have an y factory warrantly with their tires..they dont stand behind them. Now I now its not THEIR fault or fault of dealer but my wifes 2018 passat new to use 4500 miles ago had a belt let go in a brand new less that 4500 miles and has a bulge dealer say giti has no warrantly of any kind so its all out dime. I will definately change these out when they wear out.
