Tires Goodyear or WEST LAKE
My first set (255 55 R20) lasted for 4 years. Same size on the 2nd set I had installed in late October of 2023. Superior wet traction in the heaviest of downpours. 80 mph on the parkway with no hiccups! Superb snow traction as well, as I was able to negotiate steep snowy roads with my 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Trim without losing traction.
Also if you can, get Goodyear assurance. We had them on my husband's old car and they were good. Very little road noise, compared to the cheap Kelly edges the dealership put on his Impreza before we bought it.
I just put Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates on my Miata, 205/45/17’s. So far, so good, also got the road hazard warranty due to the potholes around here.
Since changing to the Goodyear tires, I've hit similar potholes, sometimes even much HARDER, and haven't had a single popped/torn tire (though HAVE had issues with air leaking, which they attributed to the 'tag/sticker' still being on the tire when installed).
Pirelli is now Chinese owned, so I will never buy another set of them. I put Goodyear on my 3 and couldn't be happier with my choice.
Goodyear Wrangler ultra terrain, awesome in the snow and fairly quiet.
Mag 5 years na westlake na gulong ko. Wala naman naging issue.
I had Yokohama and Arrivo tires, now I'm using Westlake. Okay naman yang three. Comment ko lang sa Arrivo is naninipisan ako sa sidewall, compared sa other two.
I replaced the Michelins on my Lincoln mKX with Goodyear weatheready tires. There is no comparison between the weatherready and the Michelins defender. The weatheready feels like it has a one ply sidewall when compared to the Michelin defender. The old worn out defenders ride better than the new weathereadys, buy the Michelins!
The stock Goodyear wranglers are shitty tires. I had 4 flats in 6 months with them. And ride quality/handling wasn’t great. But I’m a cheap ass and got 30k miles out of them.
I’ve only purchased Michelin for many years now. When my stock wranglers looked similar to OP’s photo, I put Michelin LTX M/S on and never worried about tires again - until this week.
70,000 miles later and the Michelins are finally at the end of their journey- going to replace them with Michelin Defender LTX since the M/S line is discontinued
