my mum has these Hankooks on her Peugeot 308 and they also seem to be okay for the price ... haven't driven much with it personally in the winter but i didn't hear her complain either
EDIT: I bought Hankook Winter i\*cept RS3s, they are silent comparing to Kinergy Eco 2. I am happy that I did not buy allseason for winter, this year seems to be more almost ice roads then previous years, these feels good even on wet road.
2022 Model S Plaid purchased used and needed new front tires. Picked me up a pair of Hankook Ventus iON A 101Y 265/35/R21. Brand new from eBay purchased pair for under $300 !!!
Hankook Ventus V12 EV02. Hankook's have became my favorite tire in the last few years after doing tires/mechanics for 20 years.
In comparing equal sizes, the EVO3 appears to be heavier, have more stabilized treadblocks, and stronger sidewalls/belts, but made with a softer rubber compound. Probably a better tire for track use.
Just got the hankooks last month swapped the kumhos at 40k. Slightly louder than the kumhos but not by much. As an earlier person said insanely better in heavy rain/standing water I felt like I was driving an suv the last time I was in a deluge just wicked right though it. Efficiency seems about the same as kumhos.
I replaced my GT summer tires with the Hankooks and couldn’t be happier. I went through this last mild winter in the pacific northwest with no issues. Good grip in light snow and heavy rain. Low noise and great handling with my sometimes overly aggressive driving.
The stock tires kind of suck, but I think people here overblow how bad they are. They're acceptable for daily driving, but a lot of people who buy these cars like to drive them like racecars from time to time and in that regard they are pretty terrible.
For what it's worth, my Tiguan came with Hankook Ventus Noble 2 - GARBAGE. Honestly, screw VW for choosing the cheapest RFP'd crap. And screw Hankook for making awful, awful tires - shameful. Gone are the days of VWs being factory equipped with Michelin, Pirelli, and Bridgestone.
2018 Accord EX-L here. At 50K, replaced OEM Hankooks with Michelin Premier A/S tires. Side note: tech trash talks Hankook while writing up the service order. On the way home, I notice the ride quality has improved significantly.
