Tires Kumho or Vredestein
The Vredestine Quatrac Pros have COMPLETELY transformed the ride of the car. I had Falken ZE001s before, which were loud, rough, and atrocious on the freeway over a specific section of road. After we had them installed today, I went and drove the exact same section, and the car feels like an entirely different car now! Gone is the roughness, the noisiness, the weird hums and buzzing sounds, and whines. Gone is the thumpty-thump sounds on the freeway, and the ka-thunkathunkathunkathunk - like seriously it's completely gone even when cruising at going 80-83mph.
quatrac pro ev were mounted today, I drove 400km subzero mostly dry and so far so good! The seem quiter than the Hankook at lower speeds but they seem to emit a higher pitch at highway speeds, nothing major but I'll definitely play with different pressure levels
I've got the Vredestein Hypertracs on my S60 T5, put about 1500 miles on them, so far so good. They came well reviewed to me from other enthusiasts. Car still breaks traction, but that's the nature of the car.
I’ve been with the Kumho Ecstas and they’ve been a dream. One of the better mid range tires to replace the oem with.
I use all-seasons, and I've had Vredestein, Michelin and now GoodYear on a V50. Michelin was the nicest, Vredestein was good too (and very local to me :-)) but bad for mileage.
I purchased the Vredestein Tires a few months ago from Tire Rack. They seem to be a good tire from what I can tell so far. They have performed well in the wet and dry and were sure-footed at high speeds. Compared to the other sets of tires I’ve had over the years, they seem to be one of the quieter ones.
The worlds best tire I have ever driven on. I have been buying tires for over 40 years and many times cruise control is set at 85mph, wet road, dry road, local road at 30mph or at 85 mph No other tire compares to Vredestein tires, plus almost NO road noise.
I put Kumho Crugen HT51 at the advice of a trusted tire guy. They are only a few weeks old but so far so good at the price he got em on for.
Kumho Ecstas aren’t the best but they’re very affordable and do the job well. More grip, quieter and better ride than OEM.
Tell you what I wouldn't recommend: Kumho Solus, thanks to which my car now tends to pull itself in different directions on freeways with the cut-in rain channels.
