Tires NITTO or Cooper
Went from an all season to an all terrain and the only thing I noticed was a low hum sticky gravel sound at low turning speeds. Highway driving was about the same if not a bit quieter.
I’m a cheap ass and I run the Walmart Cooper Discoverer A/T’s at 265/75/16 for $145 a tire. Perfectly fine for my driving which sounds similar to yours
The 32" Cooper Discoverer AT3s on our YJ have been great. And they were very affordable.
Running 15x32x11.5 Cooper's on my YJ. I dig em and decently priced.
I put coopers on my last two ats and I loved them.
I just picked up some Cooper Discoverer SST Pros for $206 each at Discount Tire. Almost $70 per tire less than everywhere.
Cooper has always done me right. Top tier stuff. I have no experience with Kelly.
I’ve always had good results with Cooper tires, except in extreme cold - the one set became like hockey pucks with little to no traction (-40 though so fair enough).
This is unfortunately common in my experience with Nitto. I ran Trail Grapplers that were cracked like that with still probably 2/3 tread left. Next set were Ridge Grapplers, they did the same at about 1/2 tread.
Turns out I had one bad tire that was making the car pull. I won't go back to NTB and I won't buy Cooper tires. (Even though it was probably just one freak bad tire but it made my life miserable for a long time and wasted a bunch of my time.
