Tires NITTO or Kumho
Have 2 other buddies running the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in a 35” and they are a really nice looking tire and so far getting great milage out of them as well.
I had the ridge grapplers and I loved them. Very quiet tire that’s supposedly supposed to last around 40k miles! I only used it in loose sand and no muddy terrain but I was content.
I've run both, currently running ridge grapplers. I vote nitto, hands down the best tire I've ever had on a truck. they last forever, ride smooth, aren't too loud on the highway, and are solid in sand.
I just put a set of Kumho Solus TA11 on mine. Smooth, quiet, balanced well. No complaints here.
They were used for about 6 months, but I swapped back to the stock 17' classix OEM wheels as I was street parking in a city, wanted a more comfortable ride, and wanted cheaper tire replacements .
V730 is only other tire that’s cheap and works well. My personal experience on them is on a Miata, I was shocked how good they worked.
Go with the Kumho V730. They are the cheapest tire per corner, wear VERY well (about 100 runs before they cord…WITHOUT flipping). They are exactly what you need for a low-camber GS car.
The OE tires (Kumho Solus KL21) still have probably 25% of the tread remaining, so they're not in need of replacement for that reason... even though they have become pretty noisy and have a bit of feathering around the edges.
Have ridge grapplers on my work truck and I don’t like them. There isn’t a lot of sipping grooves so they aren’t great in anything sloppy like wet snow or mud
I had them on my 2013 GT. They did not hook up well, and I was stock. They were also noisy. I’d choose something else.
