Tires Pirelli or Kormoran
Going with Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 XL. Haven't had much snow last few years but do get temps cold enough to need at least all-season tires.
I have the previous Pirelli Scorpion version on a CX5 and they have been quiet and handle like a dream. I have driven the f..k out of them across country three times, twisty back roads of many states and quite a few dirt roads. I have over 100k on this set and had to warranty replace one because of a puncture near the side.
Take it to Les Schwab or Discount Tires. I had a similar puncture like yours with same the Pirelli tire and Les Schwab patched it up for free for first time customer.
Switched from Toyos to the Pirelli Scorpion and instantly felt a difference. Much more quiet and smooth
Pirelli Scorpion AS3 is what I got after the toros and they did not disappoint
The Pirellis, at this pressure, are quite smooth and free rolling. But the weight is never forgotten, and getting to speed takes effort. The reflective sides are bright and clear, and lend a bit of comfort to riding in low-light mornings/evenings.
Thus far, no punctures. At 1500km, though, the rear's showing its wear (front looks nice still) and flattened off at the centre of the tread.
Traction-wise, I've had no concerns. Both: rain/shine they've given me no pause or worry. Riding on various surfaces: asphalt, concrete, gravel, dirt, packed limestone - they seem to just work well.
not super quiet, but not bad, great handling, I have about 25,000 miles on my wifes jeep and i am shopping for new tires. I would buy the same tires at a good price.
I got nail through the sidewall of the essentially brand new Pirelli's on my '23 RWD- just shy of $500 to replace just the one tire
I had a similar issue with PZero's and ENVE Foundation 45s. They were by far the hardest tires to mount I've experienced.
Mine went on pretty easy, but they are out of balance by a metric fuck ton. I've had to take them off and rotate them around, just so they wobble "less".
