Tires Pirelli or OEM FORD
One set of tires is my only out of pocket maintenance expense.
My maintenance has been a new set of tires, new wiper blades, gallons of wiper fluid.
I had the SF3 for 1 year and 40k km. Great, great tire. Quiet, comfortable, good grip in all conditions. They still had a lot of thread (4mm) but one of the rear ones developed some cuts on the inside. The SF3 felt a little too nervous with direction change. BUT, they were so much cheaper than the CC3S that I think they are still the best.
I use the new Pirelly Cinturato Winter 3 since like a week or so - they stick well, feels comfortable and silent on the highway too (at least until like 170 km/h, that is way over the speed limit here). More silent than the Michelin summer set.
I bought that Baja from him, put new Pirellis on it , and drove it for 85k miles for work between 2013 and 2021. Those tires are still on it in my garage, though they're definitely *done*.
Ich hab aktuell die Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 drauf und bin wirklich sehr zufrieden damit. Die sind bei den Tests immer vorne dabei. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
My pirellis have 38k on them.
I have been mostly happy with the OEM Pirelli Scorpion A/T tires, and I would agree with you about the acoustics. Something strange I have experienced with the Pirelli Scorpion tires is that they have continued to get quieter after my second tire rotation. Also, with 30,000 miles on them, they do not have the same grip as new, and they break free more easily under full acceleration.
Never terribly happy with the ride quality or handling with the Pirellis.
My 21 R-Line came stock with Pirelli Scorpions. I hated them. Two back tires blew out. They road rough and felt every bump. Atlas suspension is rough enough.
